Coach Rich Sondhi is beginning his Thirteenth Year of coaching and has coached at Granite Bay High School for the last four years. Previous to Granite Bay Rich coached at Whitney High School for one year and Woodcreek High School four years. His high school years have seen much success. He has been part of a Woodcreek group that Won the San Joaquin Section Title and a Granite Bay group that made it to the Norcal Championships. Rich has been in the AAU arena for the last Twelve years as well. His AAU Team has won the Las Vegas Invitational along with other large tournaments over the years. He has coached many top level athletes and has watched many of them move on to play basketball in college and stride to be successful students in the classroom.

Rich has a passion to teach the game to individuals who want to grow and realize their greatest success. Individual fundamentals along with team concept has always helped him see so many individuals and teams feel that success. Rich always says “there is no better feeling than to see a young person with a smile on their face after doing something special. That smile makes coaching an honor”.

Coach Ernest Taubodo III is beginning his sixteenth year of coaching and has coached at his Alma Mater Center High School for 10 consecutive seasons. Center High’s accomplishments within this span has earned two section finals, one section championship, six league titles, and two consecutive semi-final playoff runs. Ernest coaching career began in 1994 as an assistant coach of the Oakland Army Base Post team. His teams earned a successful 31-3 record over a three year span. In 2004 he founded the Antelope Duke Devil Basketball Club, and in 2009 was the emergence of E-Time Hoops Academy. A merger between Antelope Duke Devils and Roseville Hoops saw some of the top high school players in the Sacramento Area compete against the best of the best in west coast elite events. E-Time Hoops has developed 11 student/athletes who currently compete at the collegiate level.

Ernest continues to mentor with Church, Recreation, School Feeder Programs, AAU & Exposure level teams in the Sacramento area. He has apprenticed at the feet of some of the best local trainers, coaches, and directors in Northern California. Ernest has coached & traveled across the state with other programs and has successfully aided and guided many youth in the Sacramento County and Bay Area. He has a passion and gift to work with youth, and to not only teach the game of basketball to the next generation; but also to instill in them the principles that will aide them in life and help them to become productive citizens in society. Through the development of leadership characteristics such as integrity, honesty, discipline, hard work, and commitment these student-athletes become empowered to pursue athletic excellence.
